Having the right make-up when your putting on your vampire girl costumes is essential to the whole look and feel of the vampire girl. Put on too much and you look like you’re trying to hard, put on too little and the vampire girl costume is average at best.

So what are some of the tricks to getting the girl vampire make-up done just right? One is to make sure that you make about a quarter size dots of white creamy make-up on the top middle forehead, the cheeks, your chin and your nose. Next, simply rub the make-up outwards in circles and mix it around so as to cover the whole face. Make sure you spread it out thoroughly so it’s not too white, otherwise you’ll look like a clown. Also, spread it out thin enough and move down the neckline too. Next add some black eyeliner and when using the black eyeliner pen, take it out just a bit on each corner of your eyes. Then if you want, take the pen and draw about three or four little lines out on the bottom corners of each eye. Next take some red and lightly run the make-up underneath the eyelashes on the bottom of your eyes. The red will make you look dead. (yeah, i meant to rhyme) Kind of mix it in with those lines you drew downward earlier. Next comes the fake eyelashes. After that you want to line your lips with a black make-up pen first. It will look weird, but hold on…it will come together in the end. Now use the red that was previously used for the eyes and fill in the lips, mixing in the black that you lined your lips out with. Then next use a brush to really blend those two colors together well, keeping the “darkness” on the edges. Then a little red lip gloss and go over your vampire girl costume lips.

At this point, you will want to add the vampire fangs.  Many options to choose from.

For more intensity you want to add some vampire contact lenses that will blow every-one’s mind! And of course, you can add a dribble or two of vampire blood on the corner of your mouth…optional.

That pretty much sums up a great looking make-up session.  Now what about the accessories.  A popular accessory is the vampire girl costume choker.  Always a great way to add focus to the work of art that is your beautiful vampire girl face.  Another winner in the accessory department is a great looking medallion necklace.  One necklace that is new for 2010 is the Multi-Tiered Spider Necklace.  A three tier necklace with little spider charms…lovely.

Of course for any vampire girl costume, you must have the right shoes or the proper boots.   Many to choose from ladies so enjoy hunting down the proper pair or pairs. (wink wink)  Another wonderful accessory that will really make just about ANY vampire girl outfit pop is a pair of gloves or glovettes.  No matter what, these do make a difference.

So, enjoy getting your make-up just right and picking out the proper accessories.  Halloween comes around but just once a year, but I’m sure that if you put your mind to it…you’ll find many opportunities to wear your delightful vampire girl costume and the extras many times afterwards.
